**What should you keep in mind before the treatment?**

* **Shaving:** Thoroughly shave the desired area 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. The hair should be short, but the hair root must remain in the skin.
* **Do not wax or pluck:** Avoid waxing, epilating, or plucking for at least 4 weeks before the treatment, as the laser requires an intact hair root.
* **Avoid sun and tanning beds:** Protect your skin from direct sunlight and tanning beds for 2 to 4 weeks before your appointment. You should also avoid self-tanners during this time.
* **Avoid irritating skincare products:** Avoid intense exfoliants and skincare products containing retinol or alcohol for 1 to 2 weeks before treatment.
